Surgeons at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center provide surgical care for a range of abdominal, gastrointestinal (or GI) and colorectal conditions.
The GI surgeons work in collaboration with other specialists such as gastroenterologists and thoracic surgeons to deliver multidisciplinary care, utilize minimally invasive procedures or laparoscopic surgery whenever possible, and provide care and surgery for a variety of gastrointestinal disorders, including:
- Abdominal wall, hiatal and paraesophageal hernias
- Anal and rectal cancer
- Anorectal disease
- Barrett's esophagus
- Colorectal cancer and polyps
- Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST)

We offer a range of GI diagnostic and treatment services to provide patients with a wide range of minimally invasive and standard surgery options, such as transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF) for GERD.
