PALMER, Alaska (September 22, 2025)—Mat-Su Regional Medical Center has announced the appointment of Taylor Rudd as chief executive officer effective September 22 this year. Rudd brings more than a decade of hospital leadership experience to the Mat-Su Valley, most recently serving as chief operating officer of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho.

Before his tenure in Idaho, Rudd held leadership roles at Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, California, where he helped oversee a $20 million ICU and operating room expansion. He began his career in healthcare administration as an administrative fellow with St. Joseph Health in Napa after earning both his Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
A native of southeastern Idaho, Rudd and his wife are relocating to Alaska with their four children.
“I am honored to join the dedicated team at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center,” said Rudd “It was easy to become captivated by the inspiring beauty of the Alaska landscape, but what really got me excited was the incredible sense of community and commitment to care I felt when interacting with the staff and providers at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Rural hospitals have a special ability, and responsibility, to deliver high quality care because you are caring for your neighbors, family and friends. I look forward to working closely with staff, providers and community leaders to continue serving the Mat-Su Valley and surrounding areas.”
