General Volunteer Information

Requirements

  • Must be at least 15-years-old for volunteer service
  • Complete an "Application for Volunteer Service"
  • Attend New Volunteer Orientation - First Tuesday of each month : 8am-4:30pm
    • Emphasis on Safety, Confidentiality and Compliance
    • Contact Volunteer Services Coordinator for dates and times
  • Interview with Volunteer Services Manager
  • Sign a Confidentiality and Commitment Agreement
  • Complete tuberculosis (PPD) test initially and annually thereafter
  • Complete Drug Screening
  • Complete Fingerprints and Background check
  • Complete on-the-job training with an existing volunteer
  • Annual Performance Evaluation
  • Commit to a minimum 100-hours of volunteer service per year
    • Schedules typically consist of a 4-hour shift one day a week
