New Chief Executive Officer, John R. Lee, Joins Mat-Su Regional Medical Center
Healthcare executive John R. Lee officially assumed the role of chief executive officer (CEO) at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center (MSRMC) on March 31. John most recently served as the interim CEO and chief operating officer at Natchez Community Hospital, a 101-bed acute care facility in Natchez, Mississippi.
“John is a dynamic, experienced leader with a proven track record of success in leading health care related teams that are strong clinically and financially”, said Deborah Prator, chairman of the MSRMC Board of Directors. “His balanced approach to involving physicians, employees and patients in meeting quality, service and growth goals will fit well with our hospital and our community,” she added.
Lee’s healthcare administrative history includes extensive military experience. He commanded a medical company during combat operations in Panama, and commanded units in deployments in other areas of operation worldwide.
“John is an advocate of maintaining a strong, balanced team approach to patient care,” said Dr. Gary Benedetti, chief of staff. “I have great confidence that John will partner with physicians and staff to continue our goal at Mat-Su Regional to offer outstanding medical care to our patients,” he said.
John and his wife have two sons, Robert who attends Louisiana State University (LSU) and Matthew, a high-school sophomore who will also make his new home in the Mat-Su Valley. “For the past 26 years, I have received my inspiration, love and support from my wife, Nit, and family. We are very excited about joining the Mat-Su Valley and Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. It is an honor to join such a great community with a superb hospital and medical staff.”
