What to Expect
Most patients, with the exception of Medicare patients, will receive a summary of their medical charges within 15 days of their discharge date. Due to the payment procedure guidelines Mat-Su Regional must follow to comply with federal regulations, Medicare patients will not receive the first billing statement until payment has been received and Medicare has determined the balance and/or co insurance. However, Medicare patients may request a detailed statement.
